A vision for Manor Royal where the energy supply is more sustainable, secure and locally-generated - raising the profile of the Business District, reducing our carbon footprint, and lowering the cost for businesses.
What is ReEnergise Manor Royal?
Re-Energise Manor Royal (REMR) is an independent non-profit Local Energy Community (LEC), established in 2023 to invest in and promote renewable energy projects across the Manor Royal Business District.
REMR has been established by the Manor Royal BID, with the support of both West Sussex County Council and Crawley Borough Council.
Initially, REMR will focus on maximising the deployment of rooftop solar technologies, to help Manor Royal move towards a low carbon and low cost energy community by 2030, with the intent to develop other complementary services in the future.
Benefits to businesses
Manor Royal businesses can benefit from free (*) rooftop solar panels. These will be owned and operated by REMR allowing companies to enjoy reduced cost, low-carbon energy with no capital outlay or maintenance hassles.
By getting involved companies also automatically become a member of the Manor Royal Energy Community.
