Project overview
Gateway 1 is located on Gatwick Road adjacent to the dual carriageway leading from the M23 and the Hazelwick Flyover. It is Manor Royal's busiest access point. The intention was to make it more welcoming and attractive for visitors by creating a better sense of arrival..
Phase 1 This included the re-design and re-introduction of the pedestrian footbridge in partnership with West Sussex County Council.
Phase 2 Involved other aspects of the entrance upgrade delivered as part of the Crawley Growth Programme and completed March 2019.
