Manor Royal Companies focus on ‘Positive Mind, Healthy Body, Better Place'
The latest Manor Royal People Conference was held on 16th January at Crawley Town Football Club's The People's Pension Stadium. With all places for the event booked, companies large and small from across the Business District concentrated on sharing and promoting good practice for healthy body and mind. The event had mental and physical health experts lead interactive presentations and discussions on how companies can support employees.
Victoria Brookbank, Founder of Mindful Community, started the morning looking at Mental health awareness, Workplace stress and distress, as well as Organisational responsibility and Mindfulness, followed by Jo & Trevor Strutt from Bridgeham Clinic in Manor Royal looking at Mind and Body - the relationship between the two, awareness and promoting team wellbeing.
Those attending the conference then had the opportunity to walk around The People's Pension Stadium during lunch on a "Net-walk".
Steve Sawyer, Executive Director of the Manor Royal BID said: "Supporting employees with mental and physical health initiatives in the work place enables companies to thrive and grow, increasing retention of staff and most importantly supporting individuals in a business. The event at Crawley Town Football Club was a great success and is testimony to an ever growing sense of community in Manor Royal."
