Fly Tipper caught in Manor Royal
A Horley man has recently been caught fly tipping in Manor Royal due to excellent partnership working between the Environmental Health Service and the Manor Royal Business Ranger.
Using the recently installed Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras on the estate and local CCTV footage evidence was gathered showing the offender at the site.
The man was subsequently interviewed under caution and chose to accept a £400 Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) to avoid prosecution on this occasion. The FPN was settled with 7 days for the reduced amount of £120.
Crawley Borough Council is working hard on dealing with fly tipping across the Town and Manor Royal to send a strong message that if you dispose of rubbish illegally you will be likely to get caught and face either a prosecution or receive a hefty penalty via an FPN.
