Manor Royal BID Showcases Careers to Local People

Manor Royal BID Showcases Careers to Local People

225 job seekers, commuters, students and parents attended a free careers expo last Thursday (4 April 2019) to meet 45 Manor Royal based companies who were showcasing their job vacancies, careers and training opportunities. People were also able to gain job search advice and careers information by attending one of four free seminars.

Most of the companies participating had part-time and full-time job vacancies on offer across a wide range of roles from IT, driving and administration through to medical careers.

Run by Manor Royal BID, in conjunction with its marketing and events partner Prowse & Co. Ltd, the event was sponsored by financial services company B&CE, recently named Employer of the Year at the Sussex Business Awards.

Steve Sawyer, Executive Director of the Manor Royal BID said "The Business District is an area of huge opportunity. With over 600 companies doing everything from pie making to pilot training, this event is about telling people that whatever your aspirations there's a great career to be found in Manor Royal."

B&CE was proud to sponsor the event which highlighted the diversity and range of employment opportunities available in the thriving Manor Royal business community.

Zoe Wright, Group Director of People at B&CE said: "We were able to showcase why we're unique, the difference we make, and the brilliant opportunities there are in B&CE for people in the local community and beyond. Our team engaged with a wide range of job seekers and interested parties at our well positioned stand and are now having ongoing conversations with a number of great people they met who are interested in working for B&CE."

Joanne Rogers, Managing Director of Prowse & Co. said: "Our aim was to create a free event which enabled local people of all ages to discover more about employment opportunities available on Manor Royal Business District. We were delighted to receive the support of world-class employers such as Virgin Atlantic, Thales, Welland Medical and Varian as well as successful local firms.
