B&CE wins Employer of the Year at Sussex Business Awards
B&CE, a Manor Royal based company, was recently awarded
Employer of the Year at the Sussex Business Awards. The not-for-profit
organisation which employs more than 500 people locally, provides The People's
Pension to four million people across the UK and is working to improve
occupational health in the construction industry, as 80,000 people suffer
work-related illnesses each year.
After beating tough competition from Legal & General and The Student Room, B&CE was given the award to reflect its values as an employer and the way it develops and motivates its people to make it a great place to work.
Commenting on the award, Zoe Wright, Group Director of HR at B&CE, said: "From humble beginnings delivering holiday stamps to construction workers back in the 40's, B&CE has come a long way, and we're honoured to receive this award.
"As a not-for-profit organisation, we put our values at the heart of everything we do and are incredibly proud of our dedicated staff who work tirelessly to deliver an incredible service to our customers. As Sir Richard Branson says, if you look after your people, they will look after your customers. It's that simple."
