In a world increasingly reliant on technology, access to digital tools and skills is no longer a privilege, it's a necessity. Recognising this, People’s Partnership has joined forces with the Good Things Foundation, a national charity championing digital inclusion.
Did you know that 1.5 million tonnes of technology is discarded each year? Instead of adding to the problem, consider donating your unused devices to the National Device Bank. Together, we can bridge the digital divide and create a more inclusive community.
People’s Partnership donated 350 laptops to the National Device Bank, a programme that refurbishes and distributes devices to those in need. With an additional 100 pledged this year, they’re committed to tackling the issue of e-waste while providing vital equipment. As ambassadors for the device bank People’s Partnership wants to encourage others to follow their lead.
In addition to providing devices, The Good Things Foundation's Learn My Way programme provides free online and in-person courses designed to build essential digital skills, perfect for beginners. Whether it's learning to navigate the internet, use email, or access online services, these resources can make a real difference.
Additionally, they are exploring ways to help the 6.5 million members of The People’s Pension become more digitally enabled.
