Fleming Way gets a Puffin (crossing)
Installation of a new Puffin style pedestrian crossing on Fleming Way is due to start on the 8th September 2014.
The works will go on for approximately 8 weeks at the western end of Fleming Way. During the period of these works temporary two-way traffic lights will be in operation.
The need for this crossing is due to increased pedestrian traffic between businesses on the southern side of Fleming Way and Tesco and other facilities on the County Oak side of the London Road.
The issue was presented to the Manor Royal BID and, following discussions with West Sussex County Council and Crawley Borough Council, Section 106 monies were released to invest in the crossing and ensure safer passge for Manor Royal visitors and staff.
